Iris Ortiz Awarded WTS-Boston Chapter
Member of the Year

The Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS)-Boston Chapter recently awarded Iris N. Ortiz, an Associate of Cambridge Systematics with extensive experience in transportation financial planning, with the 2008 Member of the Year Award for her dedication, enthusiasm, and commitment to the chapter. Ms. Ortiz is an active WTS-Boston member and leader, serving as co-chair of the Mentoring Committee for more than a year. She also has been actively involved in various committees, including the Professional Development and Diversity Committee and has assisted with the organization of various WTS events.

In addition to the award, Ms. Ortiz has been selected to present at the 2008 WTS Annual Conference, as part of a panel that will discuss “Transportation Funding at a Crossroad.” Her presentation will focus on the work done by Cambridge Systematics on the imminent transportation funding crisis ahead and lay out both short- and longer-term options for restoring adequate revenues to investment in transportation.
