We are seeking a project manager and technical expert with an understanding of the impacts of climate change on transportation and a broad understanding of risk management and transportation planning to lead extreme weather and climate change vulnerability assessments and adaptation strategy projects for regional, state, Federal, and international clients. Our work focuses on helping our clients understand the risks of extreme weather and climate change to multimodal transportation systems and cost-effectively integrate resiliency measures (adaptation strategies) into transportation planning and decision-making processes.

We are seeking a General Ledger Accounting Manager for a fast paced, client-oriented accounting department. The General Ledger Manager is responsible for the integrity of the financial statements through review and analysis of the general ledger. This position also includes supervision of 3 staff accountants.
The GL Accounting Manager manages and mentors the GL account team, comprised of two staff accountants, one junior accountant, and one intern, and is responsible for managing the team to ensure that work is properly allocated to meet competing deadlines. The GL Accounting Manager is responsible for the integrity and timely publication of monthly financial statements in compliance with GAAP and company policy, including timely and accurate completion of month end close process, review and approval of monthly financial statements, summarizing findings on the monthly reports to senior management, review and approval of monthly general ledger account reconciliation and analysis, and review and approval of labor utilization forecasting and reporting. This individual will maintain and adhere to internal control structure and coordinate and manage external audits, including review and approval of schedules and financial statements. This person will assist in the preparation of the annual budget and provide support to Business Line Managers and Corporate Service Unit Managers as needed. The individual filling this position will work with a growing team of GIS professionals to provide GIS support for a variety of projects in the areas of GIS-T, travel demand forecasting, and transportation planning. Our Accounting department is organized into three functional areas; General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, and Project/Cost Accounting. The Project/Cost Accounting Intern is responsible for general and clerical support for the Project Accounting Team. We are seeking an intern to work 20 hours a week starting in January.
This individual will be responsible for project and account setup within the accounting system, assist with management of subcontractor invoice and payment process, data entry, generation of project specific monthly cost reports, and analysis as needed.
