Objective

Assist the Florida Department of Transportation (DOT) Central Office in establishing and implementing a new Florida Urban Transportation Model Structure (FSUTMS) framework for use by travel demand modelers throughout Florida.

Project Overview

Cambridge Systematics serves as the general planning consultant for systems transportation modeling for the Florida DOT Central Office. Work includes research and administrative assistance for the Florida Model Task Force (MTF) and implementation support for the FSUTMS framework and related software platforms. Cambridge Systematics also is providing staff for strategic highway corridor planning efforts in modeling and geographic information systems (GIS). In addition, Cambridge Systematics is providing technical leadership and support in the products and services provided in the diagram below:


Project Results

Cambridge Systematics continues to supplement Florida DOT resources with high-level technical knowledge in travel demand modeling and GIS.  We are helping Florida meet the challenges of new software platforms and Federal guidance on modeling and planning.
