We Congratulate Erin Flanigan, Named Distinguished Alumna at University of Texas, Austin

In recognition of her leadership in the transportation community, Erin Flanigan, Principal of Cambridge Systematics, Inc., will be inducted into the Academy of Distinguished Alumni from the Department of Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering at University of Texas, Austin on Friday, October 16, 2015.  One of nine alumni receiving the prestigious honor this year, Erin is being recognized for her expertise in her field, research and education advancements, and outstanding leadership.

Erin, a Professional Engineer and Project Management Professional, leads the Federal research component within the Transportation Operations business line at Cambridge Systematics.  She has more than 20 years of experience that includes leading and conducting research and analysis projects and developing national policy for Federal agencies including the United States Department of Transportation, the Federal Highway Administration, National Cooperative Highway Research Program, American Association of State Highway Transportation Officials, and Transportation Research Board.  She recently led a workshop series in advancing transportation systems operations and management, and she has provided numerous other workshops, webinars, and breakout sessions covering topics in operations/intelligent transportation systems, planning, program development, and benefit cost analysis.  Erin is also working on a number of projects supporting the US DOT’s connected vehicle program.

Erin graduated from UT Austin in 1994 with a Master’s degree in Engineering.
