Freight Demand Model Development and Application

CS has continuously advanced the state of the practice in freight and truck modeling. Our methods combine the best of commodity flow models, vehicle-based travel demand models, operational simulations and modal diversion models. We integrate these and other tools for an approach that considers mobility, economic impact, benefit-cost, air quality and safety analysis. Our current initiatives include the development of advanced regional freight models that incorporate supply chain and urban logistics practices in the modeling framework.
